Stage Decoration

Stage Decoration for Birthdays — Themed Backdrops Built at Your Venue

In an Indian birthday the "stage" is wherever the cake is cut: a wall in the living room, the platform at the end of a banquet hall, a corner of the terrace or a play zone. It is the one spot every phone in the room points at, so it is the spot worth spending on. BalloonDekor's stage decoration packages give it a complete, professionally built theme — a 7 to 8-foot customised backdrop on a stand, 250 to 350 balloons shaped around it, character cut-outs, balloon pillars, and a neon or LED light with the name and age — delivered and set up by a verified decorator in 2 to 3.5 hours.

All 27 packages include materials, delivery and the decorator's time. The photo on the listing is what gets built at your venue, and the price shown is for the city you select.

What People Want From a Birthday Stage

• The name and age on the backdrop. The first thing families ask for — a printed board, a name LED or a number LED so the photographs say whose birthday it is.
• A theme the child recognises. Jungle, Cocomelon, Barbie, Frozen, unicorn, mermaid, dinosaurs, racing cars — the character on the backdrop should be the one on the child's bag.
• A cake table that matches. The cake sits in front of the backdrop, so the table skirt and props should belong to the same theme.
• Lights that work after sunset. Evening parties need a neon sign or LED to keep the stage bright in photos once the hall lights dim.
• Enough width for the family photo. A single 7×7 ring suits a family of ten; a three-panel backdrop with pillars is built for a hall where thirty people gather for the cake.
• Something simple when the budget is tight. "Simple stage decor" is one of the most searched phrases for a reason — a ring backdrop with balloons and a neon light does the job without cut-outs and LEDs.

Stage Decoration Ideas by Occasion

First birthday stage

The most-booked category. Jungle and safari themes lead — three flex panels, green-and-brown balloon garlands, animal cut-outs and a "1" pillar — followed by teddy bear and Cocomelon stages. See Jungle Theme 1st Birthday Decor and Cocomelon Balloon Wonderland, or browse the whole jungle theme and Cocomelon collections.

Kids' theme stages

Barbie, Frozen, unicorn, mermaid, Jurassic World, butterfly and racing-car stages use a square or circular customised backdrop with character cut-outs and an age LED. Pick the one your child talks about most — the full list is on the kids theme decoration page.

Simple stage decoration at home

A circular backdrop wrapped in 250 balloons with pillars on either side and a neon Happy Birthday light. Clean, modern and the fastest to set up — the best pick when the venue is a flat or a small hall. Jungle Theme Ring Decoration is the entry point of the range.

Adult birthday and cocktail-party stages

Black-and-gold sparkle backdrops, cocktail-bar props and pool-party themes for a 25th, 30th or 40th. See Sparkle Night Birthday Bash Setup and Cocktail Bday Party Decoration, or the premium birthday decoration page.

Naming ceremony, annaprashan and baby-shower stages

The same backdrop-and-pillar structure works for a family function; the theme changes to pastels, florals and the occasion's banner. Those setups sit on the naming ceremony, annaprashan and baby shower pages.

Haldi, mehndi and wedding-function stages

Marigold, drapes and floral stages for the pre-wedding functions are on the haldi decoration and mehndi decoration pages, with bride welcome and canopy setups alongside. For an engagement or reception stage that needs a custom design, message the team on WhatsApp with your venue photos and we quote it separately.

Where the Stage Goes: Home, Hall or Terrace

At home, a 7×7-foot ring or square backdrop fits against most living-room walls once the sofa is moved; the decorator needs about eight feet of clear width and a plug point for the neon light. In a banquet hall or clubhouse, the 8×8-foot and multi-panel themes are built for the raised platform — tell us the stage width when you book so the arch and pillars are scaled to fill it. On a terrace or lawn, backdrops are weighted and balloons tied down, but wind is the enemy of an outdoor stage, so choose an evening slot and place it against a wall or parapet; the terrace decoration page has setups designed for open air. At a restaurant or play zone, most venues allow decorators in one to two hours before the party — share the access time when you book and we match the setup window to it. Want the stage to lead into games? Pair it with kids birthday activities.

How to Book Stage Decoration Online

Choose the theme, select your city, pick the date and the window you want the stage ready in, and pay the full amount or an advance to lock the slot. Printed backdrops, cut-outs and name LEDs are made before the visit, so send the exact spelling of the name and the age on WhatsApp the day you book and reserve five to seven days ahead when you can; next-day slots are possible in many cities. Changes and cancellations follow the cancellation policy.
