Question 1

How far in advance should I book naming ceremony decoration?

Accepted Answer

Book at least 3 to 5 days before the ceremony date so personalised elements - the baby's name board, foil letter display, and specific colour scheme - can be prepared properly. Naming ceremonies often fall on auspicious muhurat dates that cluster together, so early booking secures your slot before other families in your area book for the same date.

Question 2

Can the baby's name be kept secret until the ceremony and revealed as part of the decoration?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This is one of the most common requests for naming ceremony decoration. The name board or foil letter display is covered or kept separate, and the decorator reveals it at the right moment during the ceremony. Mention this requirement during booking and the coordinator confirms the arrangement with the decorator in advance.

Question 3

Can you decorate a cradle as part of the naming ceremony setup?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cradle decoration with fresh flowers, soft fabric draping, and floral garlands is available as part of naming ceremony packages or as a separate add-on. Mention the cradle decoration requirement during booking and the decorator comes with the right material and attachment method for the cradle type.

Question 4

Can you do traditional decoration for Namakaranam, Barse, or other regional naming ceremonies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We handle naming ceremony decoration across all regional traditions - North Indian Namkaran setups, South Indian Namakaranam decoration with traditional elements, Maharashtrian Barse decoration, and Bengali naming ceremony setups. Mention the specific tradition and any customisation requirements during booking.

Question 5

What is the difference between naming ceremony decoration and newborn welcome decoration?

Accepted Answer

Newborn welcome decoration is set up when the baby first comes home from the hospital - it is designed for the homecoming moment. Naming ceremony decoration is set up for the formal ceremony that follows, usually 11 to 12 days later. Many families book both through BalloonDekor and can request a consistent theme across both setups.

Question 6

How long does naming ceremony decoration take to set up?

Accepted Answer

A simple naming ceremony setup takes 30 to 45 minutes. A full setup with floral elements, cradle decoration, backdrop, and personalised name display takes 90 minutes to 2 hours. Book the decorator to arrive at least 2 hours before the ceremony starts so everything is ready before guests begin arriving.

Question 7

Is naming ceremony decoration available in smaller cities?

Accepted Answer

BalloonDekor covers naming ceremony decoration across 72 cities in India - including Tier 2 cities like Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Indore, Surat, Rajkot, Coimbatore, and many more. Check your city availability on the website when booking.
