How far in advance should I book Haldi decoration?

Accepted Answer

Book at least 5 to 7 days before the wedding date. Haldi ceremonies almost always fall on auspicious muhurat dates when multiple weddings are happening in the same city simultaneously. Decorators get booked out fast during peak wedding season - November through February and April through June. Once your wedding date is fixed, book the Haldi decoration the same week you confirm your other wedding vendors.

Can Haldi decoration be done at home in a small space?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A large portion of our Haldi decoration bookings are for compact home spaces - a living room in a 2BHK flat, a small drawing room, or a compact terrace. The decorator assesses the space and works with the dimensions available. A freestanding backdrop frame is used when there is no wall available. The setup is designed to look full and proper within whatever space the home provides - not overcrowded, not sparse.

Do you use fresh flowers or artificial flowers for Haldi decoration?

Accepted Answer

We use fresh flowers for all Haldi decoration packages - marigold, roses, carnations, jasmine, and seasonal blooms depending on availability and your colour preference. Fresh flowers have a fragrance and texture that artificial elements cannot replicate for a ceremony like this. For very specific flower varieties - imported roses, peonies, orchids - book at least 5 to 7 days in advance so the material can be sourced and confirmed.

Can we get a jhoola installed if our home does not have a ceiling beam?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We use a freestanding jhoola frame that does not require a ceiling beam or any permanent fixture in the home. The frame is brought by the decorator, assembled on-site, and the jhoola is hung from it. It is stable, safe, and works in any room or terrace. Mention the jhoola requirement during booking and the decorator comes with the right frame for the space.

Can you handle Haldi decoration for both the bride and groom on the same day at different locations?

Accepted Answer

Yes - and this is one of our most common Haldi decoration requests. Both setups are booked together and two separate decorators are scheduled for the two different addresses on the same morning. The colour palette and theme can be matched across both setups if the families want visual consistency. Mention both locations during booking and the coordinator schedules and manages both.

How long does the Haldi decoration stay intact during the ceremony?

Accepted Answer

Fresh flower setups stay in good condition for 6 to 8 hours from the time of installation - more than enough for a typical Haldi ceremony that lasts 2 to 3 hours. The flowers are installed using moisture-retaining wrapping and proper floral wire that keeps them fresh through the ceremony. For afternoon or evening Haldi functions in warm weather, mention the timing and weather conditions during booking so the decorator uses the appropriate handling method.

Question 7

Can the Haldi decoration theme be customised to match our wedding colour palette?

Accepted Answer

Yes - and most families specifically request this. If your wedding colour theme is yellow and white, the Haldi decoration will be built around those shades. If it is yellow and green, or mustard and orange, or any other combination - mention the preference during booking and the decorator brings flowers and material matched to your palette. For very specific customisation requests, book at least 5 to 7 days in advance.
